At River of Life Church, we love children! We consider it a great privilege and responsibility to partner with parents in shaping the spiritual lives of their children. It is our desire to not only minister to children but to minister to the whole family. Our vision for River Kids Ministry is to be a ministry that teaches children to Love God's Ways--By discovering who He is, Learn God's Word--By hearing faith-filled principles, and Live God's Will--By becoming who He wants them to be.- To discover God as Abba Father who created them, loves them and has a plan for their lives.
- To discover Jesus, the Son, as their personal savior and best friend, and discover the power of the Holy Spirit.
- To help them learn God's Word so that godly character is cultivated as they become more like Jesus.
- To use the Spiritual gifts God has given each of them.
- To live God's plan for their lives and to serve the Lord by serving others.
Babies
Our nursery for birth through age 2 provides a safe and secure environment for infants while their parents worship. Much more than babysitting takes place though! Our Baby Bible Class instructors teach the basic concepts of faith including: God made the world, God made me and God loves me. Each child is taught to love God's Word.
River Tots
Our nursery for birth through age 2 provides a safe and secure environment for infants while their parents worship. Much more than babysitting takes place though! River Tots
Our preschool children's church provides a fun environment to learn the major stories of the Bible. Before our kids can understand the principles of God's Word, they must be taught the accounts from the Bible in which those principles are expressed. River Tots provides this instruction at the child's level.
RiverTowne Kids-- Grades K-3rd
Our elementary children's church (Kindergarten through 6th grade) is divided into two age groups on Sunday mornings. River Towne is designed to teach children grades K - 3rd God's principles in an interactive way that is age appropriate for them. In River Towne, kids learn scriptures, worship, pray, learn Bible lessons, play games, and connect with peers and leaders in small groups. Quality videos and puppets are also used to help children engage in the Word of God in a fun and creative way. It is our desire to see every child in River Towne come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
WAVE-- Grades 4, 5, & 6
Wave is our ministry for children grades 4th - 6th. Wave gathers on Sunday mornings in the main sanctuary service for Praise and Worship, then they are dismissed to go with their teachers to their class area. Many of the same components in River Towne can be found in Wave, but the lessons are more suited to the older kids and focus more on discipleship and the issues that this age group face daily. It is our desire to see every child in Wave become spirit-filled and passionate about serving God.

Time is spent in small groups practicing the principles and praying for each other.
Currently on Wednesday nights we are learning how to be "Young God Chasers." This curriculum is based on the book "God Chasers" by Tommy Tenney.
